I am sure I will be redoing this painting several times until I get it right. This painting depicts a story from my family history. I need to look up the family name and get it right before I post it, but this precious ancestor had to bury her children one by one along the Mormon Trail in the winter they made the trek to Utah. The last grave was dug by the mother using only her bare hands because she had lost the only spoon she had used previously. I have a great love and respect for my family ancestors. Their sacrifices have helped make me who I am.
